A case of conjunctival congestion for 2 months

5 months old male piglet weighing 9.1 kg was brought to the clinic yesterday with a history of bilateral oedematous swelling of the inner eyelid and conjunctiva . Third eyelid was also prolapsed bilaterally l. This condition was noticed two moths back and the owner had been self medicating the piglet with Cipzy eye drop but there was no improvement. Animal appears to be active with normal appetite. Rx, Flushing of both the eye with NS first followed by 1. Dexona injection Sig- 0.5 ml s/conjunctiva on both upper and lower eyelid on the both the eyes 2. Melonex plus - 1ml I/m bid 3. Flubac SA Sig- 0.5 ml I/m once After 2 days, Swelling has reduced but the prolapsed of the third eyelid specially on left eye still noticed. So the owner was advised to discontinue the Cipzy eye drop and was prescribed with a different eye drop -Ocupal DX eye drop Sig- 2 drops/eye bid for 7 days Follow up after 7 days and if the prolapsed of the third eye lid still persist then we will go for surgical intervention after 7 days.
