Cat / American Shorthair - Asked 1180 days ago
On January 10th we had neutering surgery and took her home as soon as she woke up from anesthetics. There was some vomiting and urine leakage that day. We were told not to give any food until the next day, and the cat stayed in her cage all day - she looked weak and didn't make any sounds or move at all. On the 11th she still sounded weak but started meowing, however didn't eat cat food or her favorite treat. She did come out and start sleeping outside of her cage. On the 12th she was able to meow louder and ate a scoop of dry food and some wet food mixed with antibiotics. She was also able to use the litter box. I hear that cats are pretty sensitive animals, but what do you think about how she's doing? Do you think it's okay if we stay at home and see how she does? I think the surgical wound is healing nicely.
