Hi! Going to fix this distal tibial fracture in a hedgehog (well will try to do it successfully). Sub adult, 240g, fracture happened at least 4 days ago. Eating well and active. Was wondering about morphine in these guys? Can you use it and at what dose? Usually we use buprenorphine as our opioid pain control, but don't think this is suitable for orthopedic pain. Pre med sedation plan is midazolam 0.25mg/kg + butorpahnol 0.3mg/kg + ketamine 1mg/kg. Maintenance anaesthetic will be isoflourane.
