Clinical signs appear to be associated with food intake. Recurrent vomiting and PU/PD have also been observed. EXAMINATION FINDINGS The cat appears underdeveloped for a male Maine Coon cat of this age and has a slightly dull hair coat. The most striking finding is the presence of copper-coloured irises. HAEMATOLOGY Unremarkable except for MCV of 34.3 fl (reference interval, 40–55). BLOOD SMEAR EVALUATION Several microcytic-normochromic erythrocytes. Leuco-cytes normal in number and morphology. Platelet count appears normal; several large aggregates are present.
