Hello dear collegues, i want to share some recent and interesting case. We received a cat 2 weeks ago, the cat came to our clinic after the owner took him to 3 differents hospitals. the cat began with respiratory problems 4 months ago, it had snore, he received treatment for rhinitis and respiratory infection those months. The cat didnt get better and started to have a litle bleeding by the nose. we did all the blood exams and all was good, but we noticed a lilte mass in the nose, so we took a sample of it for citology and histopathology exam. in the Citology i saw cells compatible with Cryptoccocus, and it was confirmed by the histopathology and the culture exam result was Cryptococcus neoformans. the cat is taking Fluconazol 50mg each 12 hours. This is the first time i have a Crytococcosis case, is this common in your country?
